Using Big Spatial Data for Planning User Mobility

Publication Year: 2019 Publication Type : JournalArticle

Abstract:

User mobility is the movement of individuals from one place to another. Trip is a segment of user mobility. A context is any information that can be used to characterise the situation of an entity (i.e. any user), according to (Dey and Abowd 2000). Trip contexts provide trip-related information to any person planning to make a trip. Further, route planner is a system designed to help user mobility which consists of a number of trips. Usually, the route planners present some prede ned contexts to a user and provide a route plan between two locations on the basis of user-selected contexts. The big spatial data can facilitate diverse sets of trip contexts with their respective geographic location information on the earths surface which can aid the e ective planning of user mobility.
